PAEW to organize Harmful Algal Blooms and Desalination Conference
In many arid regions, countries are increasingly reliant on seawater desalination to supply drinking water for rapidly growing coastal populations. There are currently more than 14, 000 desalination plants in more than 150 countries worldwide.
PAEW receives the Customer Service Excellence Award
The Public Authority for Electricity and Water has been awarded the Customer Service Excellence Award in the Utility sector for their Customer Relationship Management System. The Award Ceremony was held on June 25
in the Hyatt Hotel in Muscat. The Customer Relationship management system was launched by PAEW in 2011.
PAEW is committed to reduce water losses in the Sultanate of Oman
PAEW is implementing, in partnership with Veolia Water, an ambitious strategy to monitor and to reduce water losses throughout its water networks across the Sultanate. It is worth noting that due to its importance across any Directorate of any water utility, the subject of water losses is based upon a complete and transparent cooperation between all the departments, and, to that purpose.
